Busy Bees Party

10th Feb 2017

P3/4/5 organised a Party for P1 and P2 as part of their PDMU topic of Money.

They had a budget of £20 to cover all their costs (and managed to keep within budget!!).

They split all the jobs up so everyone had something to do - P3 made the party hats, Zoe made the Krispie buns, Grace brought in her disco ball to create atmosphere, Alexis made treats for the organisers of the party and they all organised the games.  Each group had to sort the things they needed and organise what they would say.

P4/5 created a timetable for the party so they would get everything fitted into the time they were given.

The party started with games - musical chairs, musical statues, musical bumps, pin the tail on the donkey and pass the parcel.

Like every good party we needed to have some party food.  To make sure it was things the P1/2s liked we carried out a survey to find what was most popular.  We found that they really liked Sour cream and chive Pringles, Walkers crisps, Harribo Mega-Party Mix, Skittles and fruit shoots.

To help keep within the budget the children decided to go for Tesco crisps and Tesco fruit shoots as they were cheaper than the other brands.

P4/5 invited their class governor to the party too.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon and everyone went home very happy!!
